Vienaašiai geotinklai Tensar RE, UX
Tensar has a wide range of systems employed in the construction of bridge abutments, retaining walls, steep slopes and embankment basal mattresses, and the majority of them rely on one piece of Tensar Technology in particular in order to reinforce the soil and create the mechanically stabilised earth (MSE) layers: the Tensar uniaxial geogrid.
There are two types of uniaxial geogrid from Tensar, RE and UX, both of which are made from selected grades of high density polyethylene (HDPE) resin. Over the past 30 years, the long term (creep) load characteristics of Tensar uniaxial geogrids has undergone extensive study and there is independent certification that shows their suitability for reinforced soil structures, with a design life of 120 years. Tensar uniaxial geogrids are highly durable and very robust and their long term strength and partial factors used to determine design strength have been rigorously tested and documented. Available in a range of strengths, they are characterised by long, slim apertures and integral junctions, designed to interlock with fill materials, making them a key component in TensarTech Earth Retaining Systems. You can see the critical role they play for yourself, by watching our construction animations.
The integral junctions and stiff transverse ribs of Tensar uniaxial geogrids allow for the use of purpose-made connectors, to form high strength connection to modular blocks in TensarTech Wall Systems. The TensarTech Systems incorporating Tensar uniaxial geogrids are delivered with the full support of our team of experienced engineers, who are able to offer everything up to a full design and supply service, in order to assist you in finding the most suitable solution for your project.
